Laguna Presbyterian Church
This 30,000 s.f. church campus is the first church constructed in Laguna Beach in 1927. The complex occupies an entire city block in the heart of the City. The Project completed was the first phase of five projected phases. The project included full architectural restoration plus structural augmentation. In addition, new electrical, lighting, audio-visual, data, plumbing and HVAC was installed. The project added about 3,000 s.f. at the rear of the of the church complex, plus adds significant improvements at the alley to serve more as a pedestrian link within the city — alley access formerly used only as emergency access, will be enhanced. All significant facades were restored and open spaces were landscaped to match the significant era of the campus. Modifications to the exterior were reversed to match historical photos — such as the main entrance stair to the facility. All work for the project was designed to meet The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
