Mariners Library The City of Newport Beach commissioned TSA to assist in the preparation of the State Grant application for a replacement to their Mariners Branch Library. TSA assisted in preparing the building program and the conceptual design for the grant. The new Library was designed to complement the adjacent Mariners Elementary School and Mariners Park. The grant application was successful and TSA provided full architectural, landscape and engineering services.The design emphasized views to the park as well as natural lighting throughout. A large Community Room was provided with the ability to be closed off from the Library to allow use during non-library hours. The Children’s Room was designed to act as an elementary school library during a portion of the day with special security features to secure the school section from the general library.
